Nicole & Britton met me in Commons Park in autumn for their engagement photos. Commons Park is a little gem in downtown Denver, with lots of sweet spots for lovebirds. We also took some photos in nearby LoDo (Lower Downtown) in Denver. I’m running a bit out of order here but these two are so sweet and I wanted you to see their gorgeous fall engagement photos! (Haven’t seen their amazing Colorado Red Rocks wedding? Don’t miss it!)
RiNo (River North) is an area of downtown Denver that is spectacular for engagement photos off the beaten path. Jim and Sarah joined me in RiNo just in time for us to wait out a downpour (a typical summer afternoon deluge). We were treated to spectacular light as the storm passed.
Britton and Nicole were married at the stunning Red Rocks Park in the Rocky Mountains, dodging brief rain showers at all the perfect moments – after their first look, after the family photos and just as we finished the wedding party photos overlooking the park. Their reception at the Space Gallery in downtown Denver was a gorgeous, and not just because of the art on the walls. Vintage buffet tables and vintage glass doors, tin cut N & B letters and so many glorious details made this wedding a dream to photograph!
Brook & Eric had a bluebird day and sweeping mountain view at their Golden, Colorado wedding last weekend. You may remember these two lovebird from their Denver engagement photos in LoDo last fall. Well, it was as romantic as ever with Brook & Eric on their wedding day! They chose not to see each other before their outdoor wedding ceremony, and I stole a photo of the two of them at either end of a staircase (they didn’t peek!). They had a Pinterest-lover’s dream wedding, with adorable details at every turn (a chandelier hanging from the arbor – which Eric made & etched their initials into!, vintage suitcases filled with goodies, a Candy Bar, handmade napkin rings…the list goes on!). DIY brides should take note, because the style was impeccable. The reception at Rolling Hills Country Club was a blast, complete with a guys vs. girls dance-off that culminated in the groom vs. the bride. After witnessing it, I can definitively say: every wedding should have a dance-off!
Monica and Daren were looking for a romantic engagement photo shoot in Denver, so we visited some new fun spots in Denver’s RiNo district (the River North area near LoDo) in addition to some of my favorites in LoDo. These two just oozed chemistry, and were so fun to photograph on this wintery Denver day last January!
Patrick and Christina (aka Chrissy) were married in the foothills of Boulder, CO at the Greenbriar Inn. I used to work with Christina in my “former life” (before going full time with photography) so this was a really special wedding for me to photograph. Christina is one of the most organized people I’ve ever met, and it all paid off as the day went off without a hitch. The DIY wedding details were perfect, from the burlap table runners and mason jar flowers to the P+C puzzle pieces for guests to sign and adorable “Here Comes The Bride” banner.
Here’s a throw-back post with a few photos I took for a Cortez, Colorado winery called Sutcliffe Vineyards.
