Riverbend in Lyon’s, CO is a new wedding venue opened in the summer of 2014 by the owners of the Lyons Farmette. Matt & Christy were among the first couples to be married here, and their fall wedding was breathtaking. Riverbend has a “glamping” tent where the bride and her bridesmaids can get ready, and plenty of room to spread out for the wedding ceremony, reception and enjoying the day by the river. Christy spent a ton of time on the handmade details (take note, DIY brides!) such as wood burning their initials on each rustic wood ring centerpiece and enlisting some help with making hundreds of colorful paper cranes. And don’t miss the handmade stunning antler arbor they were married under!
Jesse and Jessica had a spectacular backyard wedding ceremony at the St. Paul College Club in Minnesota. The reception in the beautiful mansion included homebrew made by the couple, a full dance floor and a great time had by all!
Britton and Nicole were married at the stunning Red Rocks Park in the Rocky Mountains, dodging brief rain showers at all the perfect moments – after their first look, after the family photos and just as we finished the wedding party photos overlooking the park. Their reception at the Space Gallery in downtown Denver was a gorgeous, and not just because of the art on the walls. Vintage buffet tables and vintage glass doors, tin cut N & B letters and so many glorious details made this wedding a dream to photograph!
Brook & Eric had a bluebird day and sweeping mountain view at their Golden, Colorado wedding last weekend. You may remember these two lovebird from their Denver engagement photos in LoDo last fall. Well, it was as romantic as ever with Brook & Eric on their wedding day! They chose not to see each other before their outdoor wedding ceremony, and I stole a photo of the two of them at either end of a staircase (they didn’t peek!). They had a Pinterest-lover’s dream wedding, with adorable details at every turn (a chandelier hanging from the arbor – which Eric made & etched their initials into!, vintage suitcases filled with goodies, a Candy Bar, handmade napkin rings…the list goes on!). DIY brides should take note, because the style was impeccable. The reception at Rolling Hills Country Club was a blast, complete with a guys vs. girls dance-off that culminated in the groom vs. the bride. After witnessing it, I can definitively say: every wedding should have a dance-off!
Patrick and Christina (aka Chrissy) were married in the foothills of Boulder, CO at the Greenbriar Inn. I used to work with Christina in my “former life” (before going full time with photography) so this was a really special wedding for me to photograph. Christina is one of the most organized people I’ve ever met, and it all paid off as the day went off without a hitch. The DIY wedding details were perfect, from the burlap table runners and mason jar flowers to the P+C puzzle pieces for guests to sign and adorable “Here Comes The Bride” banner.
Liz and Dave were married in the quaint riverside town of Stillwater, Minnesota. (You might remember this spectacular couple from their engagement photos last fall in the Mill Ruins Park area of Minneapolis!). We made our way to Woodbury for the reception at Prestwick on a stunning golf course, with a fun photo stop for the bride and groom at an old train car we spotted at a farm along the way. The dance floor was hoppin’ ’til the sparklers fizzled under the sparkling stars, and now Dave & Liz are living their happily ever after…
This patient bride waited in a line of 100+ brides (overnight!) last summer for a chance at a coveted spot in Denver’s Washington Park for her wedding, and it was worth the wait! Megan and Logan were married outdoors under a canopy of trees in Wash Park on a lovely Saturday in June. We met at downtown Denver’s Curtis Hotel for the wedding prep, headed to LoDo for wedding party photos and rocked out to a great local band at the reception. Megan & Logan’s wedding had tons of cute details, from the old-timey straws for the lemonade to the creative hand-made wooden cake platters holding the cupcakes.
