Isabelle, aka Sweet Pea, is a curious and absolutely adorable little girl. She’s already adventurous (I think she’s going to be a climber) and loves exploring. These 1-year portraits were taken in Cottage Grove, Minnesota, where her gorgeous mom Rachel had both Isabelle and I both cracking up.

Isabelle’s 1-Year Portraits
Sunday, November 27th, 2011Mt. Whitney Sunrise and Sunset
Sunday, November 20th, 2011On some of my recent travels I hiked at Mt. Whitney in California, the highest peak in the lower 48 states. Here are a few photographs I took on and around the Mt. Whitney Portal area. While I was hoping for some dramatic clouds (like in the ever-changing Colorado skies), the crisp blue skies were still stunning next to this incredible range.
Liz & Dave’s Engagement Photos at Mill Ruins Park
Saturday, November 12th, 2011I met the lovely Liz and her charmer Dave for their engagement photos downtown Minneapolis and we had a ball in the urban jungle. The Mill Ruins Park area on the west bank of the Mississippi River is chalk full of stunning architecture. I will definitely be photographing here again! If you are reading this blog from Minnesota, I’m your girl: have camera, will travel.
Big Sur, California
Sunday, November 6th, 2011Have you been to Big Sur? If not, please go. If you have, I’m sure you’re already planning another trip. Don’t miss Garrapata State Park, and be sure to do the Soberanes hike. Big Sur is unquestionably one of the most beautiful places on Earth. Mason Jenning’s “Califonia” and “Big Sur” are must-hear songs as you drive the winding coastal highway with the windows rolled down. Here are a few highlights from a recent journey along the ocean – I was especially enamored this trip with the Dr. Seuss trees and ethereal fog.
