I met Joe and Jenae on the CU-Boulder campus for their engagement photo session, where old trees and awesome architecture abound.

Joe and Jenae’s Boulder, CO Engagement Photos
Sunday, February 27th, 2011Wash Park Family Portraits
Sunday, February 20th, 2011You may remember Jacqulyn and her husband Michael from a wedding photography feature previously on my blog. I was excited to see the groovin’ newlyweds and their family again as they treated her mother to a family portrait session as a birthday gift. Washington Park (known to locals in Denver as Wash Park) has incredible gardens, so we spent the evening getting some fun family shots there.
Sentinel Spire at Colorado National Monument
Sunday, February 13th, 2011I had a blast photographing Rob the Piz and Jesse on Colorado National Monument’s Sentinel Spire. They cruised Fast Draw on the back side of the spire, then rapped down and climbed Medicine Man on the front. Another good day in the desert!
Shaun and Kecia’s DIY Wedding
Sunday, February 6th, 2011My brother Shaun and his new wife Kecia had one of the most unique weddings I’ve ever been to. Shaun, a pilot, had connections to a private air strip with an open-air hangar, and the weather couldn’t have been better for this stunning outdoor wedding. It was autumn in Nashville, and the leaves were in full color, and vintage planes flew overhead. Kecia, an architect, designed the wedding. I’m not fully dressed without my camera, so you get a peek into their big day…I included more detail shots than usual, so the DIY brides out there can steal her brilliant ideas. Check out the twig centerpiece with paper flowers, there were ten or so and the twigs were collected from the forest by the airplane hangar. The wedding had a honky tonk band playing Johnny Cash and old country from the back of a pickup truck bed. The big dipper hung over the sky. The vintage planes glimmered beyond a massive bonfire. And I have a new sister!
